LAMINATING
The goal of the slitting stage is to convert a large parent roll into narrower, usable rolls of specified widths with clean edges and stable winding, ready for downstream processing or final use.

SLITTING
slitting cuts large rolls into narrower ones. It includes log slitting, the roll is sliced without unwinding, and rewind sl, which unwinds, cuts, and rewinds. The strips are called mults or pancakes, and narrow products may be rewound onto wider bobbin reels for stability.
